CENNTENNIAL, CO — Summit Utilities, Inc. is pleased to announce the election of Henry Fayne as the new Chairman of the company’s Board of Directors and the appointment of Cheryl Campbell and Thomas H. Graham, two experienced energy and utility leaders, as members of the Board.

“I am honored to assume the role of Chairman of the Board,” said Fayne. “Since joining Summit’s Board six years ago it’s been incredible to see the company’s growth and commitment to being a reliable energy partner and good community member in the areas it serves.”

Fayne joined Summit’s Board in 2014, bringing with him more than 30 years of experience with American Electric Power (AEP), one of the largest electric utilities in the United States. He assumes the role of Chairman of the Board following the retirement of Robert Carroll, who has served as Summit’s Chairman since 2015.

In addition to Carroll’s retirement, Armando Pena also retired from the Board after serving on it since 2007.

“Bob and Armando brought incredible leadership, expertise and energy to our Board. We are sad to see them go but equally excited to welcome Cheryl Campbell and Thomas Graham to our Board,” said Fayne. “They bring decades of utility and energy expertise to the Board along with a deep-seated commitment to putting people, safety and community first, which is central to Summit’s mission and core values. With Cheryl’s background in operations and sustainability and Tom’s diverse experience throughout his career at Pepco, they will both be tremendous assets to our team as we continue to grow the company.”

“I’m eager to bring my experience and commitment to utility operations, public and employee safety and sustainability issues to the Summit Board,” said Campbell. “This is a unique utility that lives and breathes its mission and commitment to quality customer service and community every day. I’m excited to play a role in the company’s continued growth, success and operational excellence.”

Graham brings with him decades of experience in the utility and nonprofit sector. He spent more than thirty years working for Pepco and Pepco Holdings, Inc. (PHI) in a wide array of leadership capacities. He began his career at Pepco in energy use management and worked his way up in the company to President of the Pepco region and later to the position of Vice President of People Strategy & Human Resources at PHI. In addition to his utility sector expertise, Graham brings with him a strong commitment to community service, economic development, and the nonprofit sector. Throughout his career he has served in a variety of leadership positions on nonprofit boards including as the Chairman for the Center for Energy Workforce Development and Maryland Chamber of Commerce. He currently serves on the Board of the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Washington – Prince George’s County Board among other organizations.

“It’s an outstanding honor and incredible opportunity to join the Board of Summit Utilities,” said Graham. “Throughout my career in energy and leadership on a variety of nonprofit boards, people have always come first. I’m excited to be joining the Board of Summit, a company that clearly shares that value, whether it be supporting members of its team, working with customers or engaging with the communities it serves in finding opportunities to strengthen the local economy.”
