LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (July 9, 2026) — For the tenth consecutive year, Summit Utilities, Inc. (Summit) has received the American Gas Association’s (AGA) Industry Leader Accident Prevention Certificate, recognizing the company’s strong safety performance and continued commitment to preventing workplace incidents.

The certificate is awarded to natural gas companies that achieve a DART incident rate below the industry average for their company type and size. DART, which stands for Days Away, Restricted or Transferred, measures recordable workplace injuries and illnesses that result in days away from work, restricted work activity or job transfer.

"Reaching a DART rate below the industry average for ten years in a row tells us that safety is truly part of how our team works every day," said Nathan Knell, vice president of operations support at Summit Utilities. "Behind that number are real people who go home safe to their families, and that is what matters most to us. We are proud of this recognition, and we remain committed to the everyday practices that keep our team members, our customers, and the communities we serve protected."

Summit’s continued recognition highlights the company’s focus on building a proactive safety culture rooted in accountability, communication, and care. Across its operations, Summit continues to emphasize safe work practices and ongoing efforts to identify and address risks before they lead to incidents.
