LEBANON, MO – Summit Natural Gas of Missouri (Summit) hosted a Valve Turning Ceremony on Thursday, October 15, celebrating the completion of a natural gas pipeline expansion project in Lebanon. The expansion project, which consisted of the installation of 27,800 feet of 8-inch steel pipeline, will increase gas flow to the area, bringing more reliable and clean-burning natural gas to residential, commercial and industrial customers in the Lebanon area.

“We are thrilled to increase natural gas capacity into the Lebanon and Rogersville service areas. This allows for us to explore opportunities for growth and meet the increased natural gas demand for area families and businesses in time for the winter heating season,” said Senior Manager of Business Development, Phil Marcum.

“This expansion project aligns directly with the City of Lebanon’s economic goals,“ said Mayor Jared Carr. “In fact, ten years ago, the City publicly announced its desire to get natural gas service to the area so that they can be competitive by attracting new manufacturing businesses to the area. Summit Natural Gas has contributed to our ability to check the RFP boxes, making the Lebanon area more competitive in the bidding process as we work to attract new businesses to the area and create jobs.“

Next up for Summit are two new compressors which will be located near Rogersville. This area stretches nearly 100 miles from eastside of Rogersville to West Plains, northeast approximately 41 miles, to serve Marshfield and Lebanon and 11 miles south to Ava.
